Tourism arrivals to Sri Lanka are higher than expected

By end 2011, the number of tourists is expected to reach 800,000, Sri Lanka Tourism Chairman Nalaka Godahewa said. Sri Lanka was expected to get 750,000 tourists this year which has been achieved with more than 35 days left in the year.

Sri Lanka is confident to achieve a target of 2.5 million tourists by 2016.
